Bring your lawn chairs and join us for an evening of music outdoors with Gem City Brass. They will be playing a variety of genres including marches, contemporary songs, polkas, light classical to name a few.

Gem City Brass was formed in 1992 when a member of the Steubenville Garden Club approached the Toronto Community Band and asked if a few musicians from the band would be willing to play some Christmas carols at a Garden Club meeting. A few members agreed and thus started the Gem City Brass ensemble. The group still has three of its original members – Homer Bowers on French horn, Linda Lancia on trumpet and John Neurohr on trombone. The remaining members of the group are Bill Harms and Tracey Allison on trumpet and Mary Lou McCann on French horn.

The members of the group are from all walks of life and come from the tri-state area with members from Steubenville, Weirton, Toronto, Dillonvale, and New Manchester. All of the members are active in other musical endeavors.

The group has and is available to perform at church services, weddings, funerals, commencement ceremonies, private parties and functions, civic organization and community events and functions, holiday events, and memorial and dedication ceremonies. We tailor our musical selections to personalize each specific event at which we perform.

Gem City Brass wishes to thank Paris Presbyterian Church for the opportunity to perform for your Friday evening Summer Concert Series. We are pleased to be here and we hope you enjoy our wide variety of musical selections.

For further information about the availability of our group, please contact Tracey Allison at (304) 914 – 5837.
