Bios: Bill Forrest & Jan Lawrence

Bill Forrest has national and international experience leading worship and evangelism teams using the arts to deliver the message of the Gospel. His experience while working with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) includes church planting and leading evangelism outreach teams throughout the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
After a hiatus of almost 25 years, Bill has felt the tug of God’s call to “…use what has been given…” and is again exploring God’s path in music, meeting people right where they are, in the situations they are in. “Music is a powerful medium, specifically when used to share the love of our glorious God!”

Jan Lawrence has been singing professionally for over 20 years, and currently performs regularly for independent and assisted living senior centers. Jan has a rich passion for the standards of our generation, with strong influences from Nat King Cole, George Gershwin, Frank Sinatra, and the like. She was exposed, from a very young age, to the soulful music of the Southern Baptist Faith, and continues to use inspirational music intertwined with beautiful standards to bless and uplift others in her programs.

Bill and Jan met at a music fundraiser for the Washington City Mission last year. They learned very quickly that their vocal stylings blended incredibly well, and the idea of joining forces to bless others was nearly simultaneous, thanks be to God. NoCoincidence is a convergence of their individual gifts and talents, and the belief that there are no coincidences when it comes to God’s orchestration.

Bring your lawn chairs and sit back and enjoy and evening of great music and fun. In case of rain we will move the concert indoors to The Gathering Place Coffee Shop. We look forward to seeing you join us soon!

Join us for an evening of Music on the Deck with the Jimmy Z Trio.It was Jimmy''s freshman year in college. The local campus radio station was on and a program called "The Sounds Of Sinatra" was playing. Jimmy was mezmerized by the lyrics and the melodies. The next day he traded all his rock n'' roll albums for all the Sinatra records that were in this little swap shop on campus. He was hooked! And so began his journey of learning about jazz and all the great singers of what is known as "The Great American Songbook". Lyrics and songs by Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin, Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen. Singers who told the story of love and lost love, such as Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Joe Williams, Nat King Cole and Blossom Dearie. There are too many to mention here, but all of these great artists have influenced Jimmy and what he chooses to sing for you. He is on a musical journey and looks forward to sharing a song with you.
Bring your lawn chairs and join us for an evening of music outdoors. In case of rain we move indoors to The Gathering Place Coffee Shop. All are welcomed!
